The Apple Watch Series 8 is an incremental update, with an aesthetic design nearly identical to the Series 7. Most of the changes aren’t visible to the naked eye, but the Apple Watch Series 8 has a few extra functionality features.

The design stays true to Apple’s design language and mimics the aesthetics of its predecessor: a sleek and elegant design with rounded corners and a seamlessly embedded Retina display. As with the previous Apple Watch, the Series 8 comes in several finishes, including aluminum and stainless steel, in two sizes and in two connectivity versions.

The Always-On Retina display hasn’t changed compared to the previous iteration; the 45mm model features a 1.77” screen, and the 41mm model features a 1.61” screen. Despite the difference in display size, both screens offer 326 PPI (pixel-per-inch) pixel density, resulting in crisp, clear images and information display.

Internally, the Apple Watch Series 8 features an Apple S8 Chipset with a Dual Core CPU, a PowerVR GPU, and a 308mAh Li-Ion non-removable battery with wireless charging capabilities. The product also comes in both GPS + Cellular versions, with the latter being region- and possibly carrier-locked.

But while the design might not warrant a new iteration, the features associated with the Apple Watch Series 8 certainly do. The main sensory functions were updated, and the Series 8 now features:
